How to get Driving License in Saudi Arabia

Before going to the License Office you need following things:

1. Original Iqamah.
2. Photocopy of Iqama.
3. Photocopy of Passport.
4. Driving License of your country (if u don’t have any driving lenience than you will pay extra 435SR for 5 days school )
5. If expatriate, translation of foreign driving license in Arabic from an approved translation institute.
6. Passport size photographs
7. Medical report (Blood Group Test)
8. License Fee (400 SR for 10 years and 200 SR for 5 years) pay it Riyadh bank/ATM for your iqama id and keep the voucher)

Getting driving license in Saudi Arabia has been made one of the easiest tasks as compared to past. It is a straight forward process which is as simple as you can expect. It doesn’t require too much money or illegal ways. Get your original non-Saudi driving license, and visit any of driving schools you are comfortable with. There are Arabic or Asian based guys wondering outside or just beside the school gate. If they are not there, check for any General Service shop. These agency shops are common and must exist beside every driving school. The most authenticated will be the one that is inside the school boundary. Visit them and ask them to fill out your form for driving license. They will request you for 6 personal photographs and your original Iqama (Saudi Arabian ID/work permit/residence card etc). Provide them both thing, They will ask a few more details like Blood group, mobile number, work-place, designation, sponsor name etc. In the past blood group must be checked at the spot but now more relaxation in the rules have been made. But now they only ask it from you and put the information on your behalf. After filling out the form they might ask you if you want to pay the driving license fee. I suggest not doing this because these agencies charge up to 50 SR more than actual amounts. Furthermore it is not a compulsory step done at spot. It can be done later via any bank account. If you feel comfortable paying extra money just submit the fee. These guys will charge you from 10 to 15 Saudi Riyals. These days Driving License Fee is categories into 2 level

1. 5 Years Driving License = 200 SR
2. 10 Years Driving License = 400 SR

After that you go inside the Driving License Office and submit your form to related window. Once submitted they will guide you for further steps.
1. Number of Days You got to attend driving school.
2. The Date when your driving classes will start. Also you have to pay the school fee that is (435 SR) currently(if u dont have a license from yours'own country). Then you have to join a training program of 5 or 15 days as per your grade which is based on Field Training at Vehicle and Class Room Training. Finally after completing training you will be given a Final Driving Test Date. Also you will be given a big printed paper that has all the road symbols, traffic signals, road signs etc. That is for your computer signals test. Remember all of them in your brain. Now join the driving classes on specified date, participate in field training at car, and ask questions from your instructor whatever you don’t understand. There is a class room training every day in which you will be given knowledge of road signs and signals. After successful completion of Driving classes, you will be given a final driving test date which is based on driving the car inside the school and a computer test. Representative from Driving School will check your driving skills. He might be in a uniform like police man but don’t be afraid of him. He is there just to monitor you, not to arrest you or beat you Upon your turn for evaluation test, be calm, enter in car, close the door, fasten your seat belt, check gasoline indicator in dashboard, clear hand brake and wait for instructions. The instructions normally come in Arabic Language, however if you don’t understand they monitoring person will repeat in English with the words (Start, Go, etc). Follow the instruction, don’t push the accelerator pedal too much, keep it between 1500 rpm to 2500 rpm, be alert, they monitoring person may any time ask for apply brake or take a sharp turn. Most important test is the parallel Parking Finally he will complete your evaluation test and hand over your papers (file) back to you, that he already received from you upon entering the car. He might categorize your driving skills from A, B, C. In Arabic (ا، ب، ج). Take your file to the office where you submitted earlier, you will be guided to move to a specific window where you will be informed…
If you pass it, you will be redirected to Computer Test Room, where you have to answer 17 Correct options out of 20 questions. If you pass it straight forward your file is stamped with “Passed”, in Arabic (ناجح) and you will be asked to collect your Saudi Driving License within next 0- 2 days.

Once again all fees structures

The Social Media

Today we are in the 21st century. This life of ours is going at a very fast pace. People go settle abroad temporarily or permanently and the best way to be connected with them is the social media. The social media is the best way to talk with your loved ones if they have settled abroad. We never really miss them because the social media is so advanced that you now need not even type and chat, you can interact with each other face to face by video chatting. Face book is a social network, by using it we can communicate worldwide, can share photos, videos, etc. Many advantages are there over face book, it is user friendly software, options are very easy, and it is easy to understand. Even a 3rd grader has an account in the social media. Parental guidance is a must for going into the social media for healthy objectives and to monitor time well spent for their child sitting in front of the computer. Parents who care about their children have a watch at what they are doing and help them for any school projects. These are the children who have a secure future and take their studies seriously. And the future of the country is in the hands of these children who use social media for the good causes and they can come out with their very own ideas on progressive subjects like unification of the country's diverse resources for achieving more power to the nation, integration of people hailing from various background, harnessing the power of the internet for business promotion and so on. The social media is very useful in business. We can advertise our business using the social media. Broadly speaking to use the social media the best age is above15. We can post our queries on the social media and we will get our answers. For e.g. if we got to buy a cell phone we can post this notice on the social media and we will get answers like from where to buy, from where not to buy and suggestions of which cell phone to buy. So the social media is very useful if we use it in the right way and do not misuse it. It also helps in real time tutoring. Real time tutoring is nothing but the teachers and students having a video conference, which is kind of a virtual class room where the teachers and students log on to the computer at the same time. This is done mostly in the United States and the notes are sent over the mail. If the students have any queries they will send their query over the mail and get it clarified. In real time tutoring a group of students get together and have a video conference with the teacher.

Risk Factors and Causes of Depression

The causes of depression are varied and complex. While some people can contribute their depression to a single cause, others may find that it is the result of several causes. Still, for some, the causes are never known. Below is a list of contributing factors that can either increase your risk of, or cause, depression (note that these are not listed in any particular order).

Anger turned inward - This can happen when we have the feeling that it is better for us to suffer in silence than offend someone else or make them angry.

Lack of assertiveness - We can get depressed if we end up doing things we do not want to do because we cannot or do not say no. We cannot and should not do everything.

Biological factors – These can include genetic influences or chemical imbalances, in which anti-depressants might help. For other conditions, medications can actually have depressive side effects.

Medical problems – Thyroid illness and other medical problems can cause depression. This can also include sleep problems and/or light deficiency. Consult with your physician about these possibilities.

Addictions – The use of addicting substances can increase your risk of depression, including benzodiazephines, alcohol, stimulants (cocaine, amphetamines), opiates, marijuana and others. Some people turn to alcohol and drugs to lessen their problems, but this only makes them worse.

Comparison to others – Comparing ourselves to others is very dangerous, since we are likely to view ourselves as inferior, or even a failure, when we do so.

Interpersonal connection or being socially withdrawn – We are social beings. Regular contact with others is healthy and part of who we are as humans. We especially need people we can turn to when times are challenging. Also, having marital or relationship problems can make you feel frustrated.

Poor modeling – We see our models growing up; we see their behaviors and we copy them. Therefore, we need to ask if we learned to be depressed by watching others. Those modeled patterns will continue unless we intentionally choose a different path.

Stress versus interpersonal support – Stress can cause unhealthy relationships, thus contributing to depression.

Poor diet and lack of exercise – Inactivity is depressing. Eating well and physical activity are natural anti-depressants and focusing aids. Also, practice good sleep hygiene.

Having excessive high expectations versus reality – When we have excessively high expectations for ourselves, our partners, our children, or our jobs, and when we do not meet our expectations, it can take an emotional toll on us.

Lack of humor or fun – We are all at risk of taking ourselves too seriously. If we are not finding or doing fun things each day, it can negatively affect us.

Lack of job satisfaction – We need to have a sense of being productive and having worth and value. Being trapped in a job we do not like can be depressive.

Financial stress or job loss – Financial strains, burdens and debt can wear on us emotionally and can result in an enormous amount of stress.

Deficits in our ability to find gratitude – This includes a lack of skills in seeking gratitude, thankfulness, contentment, satisfaction, joy and others.

Unresolved issues of grief and loss – It is not uncommon for bereaved individuals to become depressed. Holidays and anniversaries, in particular, serve as reminders of our loss, and many people experience a deepening of their grief at these times.

Lack of meaning and purpose – We all need to have meaning and purpose in our lives.

Sense of being overwhelmed or defeated by life – We get dis-“couraged” or come to lack courage or confidence or vision; this could have something to do with expectations, meaning and purpose, our values, or a number of things.

Trauma and abuse issues – Depression can some times point to a need to deal with and resolve past traumas.

Our values are not matching our actions – Sometimes we get caught up in doing things or pursuing things in life that are not consistent with what we truly believe is right and good.

Others – This could be any other contributor or anything going on uniquely with you, and not mentioned above.
