Patenting Yourself as a Leader

A common question that arises when the topic of leadership is brought about is why should I be a leader? What actions or a role completes the idea of a true leader? I’m here to tell you that the most important person you have to lead is yourself. The secret to all success in my opinion is full responsible of oneself.

Looking at your current life whether it is your finances, your relationships, your personal feelings about yourself, whatever it might be, ask yourself if you are unhappy with some of these feelings. If you are, then I believe you haven’t branded yourself first as a leader. Many people look at their lives and they start to blame outside influences for their dissatisfactions. They blame their spouse, the government, the banks, and the school they didn’t go to, maybe even their own parents.

We tend to point our finger at everyone else for all the bad things in our lives. Someone once told me that every finger you point at someone, there are three fingers being pointed back at you. When people are at affect, they believe that outside circumstances are stronger than them. They believe outside forces have control over them. The moment one person decides that they are at cause, that they have one-hundred percent authority of everything in their life; everything in their life will change.

That is the moment when you take full responsibility in your life and in your environment. At that moment in time you send out an energy that will attract success in your life. Like a magnet, this energy will start attracting in everything you want in your life.

You must be a leader, a commander of yourself today. You need to take control of your thoughts and actions. It is not the situations around you, but how you respond to the situations around you. You are a leader once you start leading yourself and taking full responsibility of your life.
